As the New Business Manager for this inspiring childrens welfare charity, you will work closely with the Head of Corporate Partnerships, to identify, create and secure new strategic, multi-year corporate partnerships. You will take the lead in delivering our New Business strategy as well as work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation to pull together and deliver compelling proposals and pitches.
This is a maternity cover role to start in mid-August, initially for a minimum of 6 months, this is a full-time role although part time/flexible working would be considered.
Manage a pool of prospects, identifying, cultivating and securing new corporate partnerships through prospect research, networking and relationship development.
Work with prospect researcher to brief corporate research needs.
Use multiple new business tactics to secure meetings with prospects, for example cold calling, emailing, event networking and social selling on platforms like LinkedIn.
Develop and deliver creative and compelling new business propositions aligned to the prospects strategic interests.
Deliver engaging and tailored pitches and proposals to prospective partners.
Work with prospective partners to agree partnership vision, objectives and KPIs in collaboration with the Magic Breakfast account manager.
Manage partnership launches where necessary.
Good working knowledge of new business cultivation process (from identifying to securing new partners) and development of corporate partnerships through experience gained in charity or corporate sector.
Also, good working knowledge of CSR/ESG drivers and how to create mutually beneficial partnerships.
Ideally, track record of securing six-figure, multi-year partnerships.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate.
Excellent relationship-building skills, both internally and externally, and at differing levels of seniority.
First-rate presentation and pitching skills.
Experience of conducting due diligence in the charity sector to ensure that all prospects meet our ethical fundraising criteria.
Experience in planning and delivering cultivation events.
