We are looking for a Senior Direct Marketing Officer - Development to engage, retain and raise cash income from existing and new donors for a leading homelessness charity.
Responsible for the management of the direct marketing programme to engage, retain and raise cash income from existing and new donors.
You will line manage a Direct Marketing Officer, and will lead on the development and delivery of effective campaign strategies, ensuring collaboration and alignment with other IG campaigns.
This role will lead on the planning and development of cash appeals, supporter newsletters, telemarketing campaigns and supporting digital activity.
Work closely with the Senior Mid-Value Officer and our creative agency to ensure the seamless briefing, management and delivery of joint activities that are effectively tailored to their respective audiences to engage, inform and increase income and lifetime value.
Lead on the planning and development of copy and content for email campaigns and digital journeys, including webpages and warm social media campaigns.
Work closely with the Acquisition team in order to have a full understanding of the audiences that are being recruited in order to tailor communications that meet their different motivations & behaviours.
Manage regular results reporting, planning & analysis. Being proactive and taking initiative to understand the successes & results of campaigns and initiating analysis projects to broaden our understanding of trends and changes in supporter behaviour.
Line management of the Direct Marketing Officer, ensuring that regular catch-ups, appraisals and other meetings are held and documented.
You must have:
Minimum of 3 years' experience of working in a busy Direct Marketing environment, working to tight deadlines.
Proven experience of end to end direct marketing campaign management, ideally including developing new creative approaches, testing recommendations, prompting strategies and sourcing, managing, negotiating and liaising with suppliers.
Strong working knowledge of direct marketing techniques and mechanics such as regular giving products, supporter journeys, prompt strategies etc. Direct hands-on experience having led on these campaigns.
