We are looking for a confident Database Officer to join a small team for a school in central London.
The School are offering hybrid working, and pure home working is available throughout the school holidays.
We are looking for a data enthusiast who is also confident communicating with donors.
You will join a small, friendly team to
Maintain comprehensive and accurate database records
Do periodic cleansing and upgrading of current data
Analysing and segmenting records
Importing data from trusted sources
Creating new constituent records where necessary, collecting and recording information
To consolidate and analyse Development data and identify trends and opportunities to improve fundraising efforts
To support the Development Director and Philanthropy Manager in their work to identify potential supporters, through data analysis
To treat all information received in an appropriate manner and at all times demonstrate discretion and comply with the provisions of GDPR
Utilise and manage a number of gift management processing systems including online merchant services accounts, external consultants, standing orders, direct debits and single gifts
Reconcile Raisers Edge with the charity bank account on a daily basis
Ensure all Gift Aid data is accurate and submit regular claims to HMRC
Support the Development Director and Philanthropy Manager in cultivation and stewardship activities
To research all potential donors, creating reports and supplying appropriate briefing to the Development Director, the Head and relevant volunteers
Do you have 1-2 years proven experience in a role maintaining, developing and improving databases according to organisational requirements
Experience in fundraising, events and/or donor cultivation
Experience of financial reporting
Experience of analysing data, identifying trends and using this to recommend opportunities for improvement to departmental activities
Very good written communication skills with the ability to write briefings, reports and other written materials as required.
Very good oral communication skills with the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including alumni, parents, pupils, prospects, and donors
Good understanding of the provisions of GDPR
Good organisational skills
