We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced fundraiser to join an inspirational charity in North London where you will create, develop and support relationships within the community; encouraging donations, volunteering and fundraising.
An inspirational charity, looking after children and young people aged from birth to 19 years old who have life-limiting or life-threatening conditions. The charity has won numerous awards and been shortlisted for many more, competing against national charities, due to a very passionate and successful fundraising team who are encouraged to be innovative and bring new ideas to a table. The charity has a flat structure and the Director of Fundraising and CEO have an open-door policy where creativity and sharing ideas is actively encouraged.
To develop and implement community fundraising activity plans into targeted areas of North London, incorporating a broad range of initiatives to achieve agreed objectives and targets.
To create, develop and support relationships within the community; encouraging donations, volunteering and fundraising and securing COY opportunities. The primary focus areas for this will be local businesses, community groups and associations, churches and faith groups, schools and youth groups.
To research and utilise the numerous North London networking opportunities and have a presence at key community events, identifying opportunities for COY partnerships where possible.
To work closely and build relationships with individuals to encourage events run by them in the community and ensure an excellent supporter journey throughout, developing long term and sustainable partnerships where possible.
To develop and sustain excellent relationships with the Mayors and Deputy Mayors of North London and other key community figures.
Working as a community fundraiser in volunteer led fundraising activities
Good solid knowledge of North London and the communities within in
Experience of approaching cold supporters and making the ask
Experience of managing a range of projects and delivering activity plans
Solid knowledge in managing and delivering budgets
Providing supervision to volunteers
Aa working knowledge fundraising databases
