We are recruiting a Direct Marketing Executive to join an inspirational charity in Romford. This role would be a great fit for a current DM Assistant looking to take their next steps in their Fundraising career. In this role, you will work alongside the Data & Direct Marketing to create and execute acquisition and retention campaigns for Appeals, Lottery, Raffles and Regular Giving.

The Charity
An independent charity and one of the largest adult charitys in the UK providing a range of services to support individuals with a life-limiting illness, as well as their carers and family members, completely free of charge.

The Role
As a key member of the Individual Giving and Data team this role is responsible for the timely and cost-effective execution of acquisition and retention campaigns for Appeals, Lottery, Raffles and Regular Giving through a planned schedule of on-line and off-line direct marketing and other marketing activity.

The role will have a particularly strong focus on promoting, increasing and recruiting supporters to the Lottery, Raffles and Regular Giving programmes to shore up continued annual growth from these areas. This role will also assist the Head of Individual Giving, Supporter Services Manager, In Memoriam Executive and Retention Assistant with thanking, communicating with supporters and data selection/segmentation.

Assist and support the Data and Direct Marketing Manager with the implementation of the Appeals programme (both acquisition & retention)
To assist in the development of campaigns from initial brief through to post campaign analysis including managing project schedules and day to day queries
Assist in the planning and implementation of new direct marketing initiatives and testing programmes including donor journeys, email and SMS, to generate incremental income
Liaise with other internal departments and external suppliers copy writers, designers, mailing house and printers as required through the campaign process

The Candidate
The successful candidate will be experienced in the creative process involved in direct marketing campaign work including briefing creative agencies, printers and mailing houses. You will need to have excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team as well as individually in a fast-paced environment.

Experience of multichannel (on line and offline) fundraising
Experience of working with creative agencies and freelancers, mailing houses, printers and data agencies.
Experience of using a supporter database such as ThankQ
Experience of data selection and segmentation
