We are looking for a creative and passionate major donor fundraiser with a demonstrable track record of success in raising funds from HNWIs to join a highly successful team in a fun work environment where you will get the opportunity to personally manage a portfolio of loyal mid high value supporters.
Last year, this national charity raised over 25m from individuals, companies, trusts, foundations and community organisations. They believe however that there is potential to do so much more and under the leadership of a new CEO and Executive Director of Income Generation, they are now developing a new strategy for doubling income from voluntary fundraising.
The priority will be to consolidate and build upon the success of established programmes of Major Donors, currently raising circa 1.6m p.a. The postholder will work alongside the Senior Philanthropy Manager and Head of Philanthropy to develop and maintain relationships with, and secure funds from a portfolio of loyal supporters and prospective supporters whilst working with senior colleagues to develop strategies and plans for significantly increasing income during the next five years.
Maintain and develop existing relationships with supporters in individual portfolio
Identify and cultivate new relationship opportunities to secure income
Work closely with senior staff and Trustees to support building major supporter relationships and gaining support with making peer to peer asks
Encourage cross team working with internal colleagues to maintain and develop new fundraising possibilities
This role represents a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience of pro-actively leading their own portfolio of major donors or someone with demonstrable experience of developing supporter relationships, looking to move into becoming a fundraising manager.
Experience of major donor fundraising or other high net worth individual environment
Knowledge of the full life cycle of major donor fundraising, with the confidence to inspire support among new and existing high value donors
Proven track record of securing five-figure gifts
Ability to communicate effectively face to face, in writing, by email, on the telephone, including public speaking
