Reporting to the Trusts and Statutory Income Manager, you will be responsible for delivering a set amount towards the teams target.
Build relationships and income from existing trusts and foundations
Research, develop and maintain new relationships to secure funding
Develop core generic trust proposals for each area that requires funding
Write tailored, inspirational applications and project reports addressing grant-making priorities or requirements as specified by individual grant-making organisations
Develop and maintain reporting and application systems and coordinate information with regional and country offices
Liaise closely with senior managers and staff to plan and develop the strongest possible proposals and build relationships
Evaluate and report back to donors in a timely fashion on projects which have been funded

We are looking for a committed, dynamic and experienced Trusts & Foundations Officer with a track record of success in raising funds from grant making trusts. You will need to be an effective communicator with an analytical and strategic mind.
You will develop tailored, focused and deliverable proposals. Your understanding of the voluntary sector with particular focus on securing income from Trusts and Foundations will enable you to provide insight into specialist areas, supporting and leading on bid development as well as managing and evaluating approaches to leverage greater success rates in securing funding, and scoping out opportunities.
The charity is looking for someone who is keen to build relationships with funders and project delivery teams so as to improve the success rate of their applications. You will need to be proactive and keen to pick up the phone, email and get up and chat to the relevant people to make things happen. Someone a little quirky wont go amiss, as hopefully they will come with novel ideas that could spark up our approach.
