This is an exciting time to join a dynamic community fundraising team as they look to develop and grow new fundraising support from third party adoptions and supporter groups alongside a well-established volunteer base. The role offers involvement with an attractive mix of traditional community fundraising activity and well-established participant events, whilst developing new and profitable relationships.
To assist the Community Fundraising Manager in the development and management of volunteer fundraising in the region, achieving agreed financial targets.
To research, identify and develop new fundraising opportunities and areas of potential support, in line with the Community Fundraising strategy.
To support, motivate and develop new and existing committees and fundraising groups.
To be responsible for the day to day organisation, development and delivery of allocated events to meet financial targets.
To recruit volunteers to assist with events, developing strong relationships and identifying and cultivating supporters to develop new fundraising opportunities and partnerships.
To work closely with the Community Fundraising Manager and Head Office staff to maximise income from the varied fundraising activities in the region.
To be responsible for specific projects agreed with the Community Fundraising Manager.
The area covered by the East team comprises Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Middlesex, Norfolk, Northamptonshire, Rutland and Suffolk.
Candidates should be able to demonstrate a track record of establishing new fundraising supporter groups and should have experience of working in a similar community fundraising position.
You will have the ability to organise and prioritise a busy and varied workload and have excellent customer service, communication and IT skills.
The days which you work are flexible must be prepared to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends and travel throughout the region.
You must have a full clean driving license and your own car. A car allowance is paid on top of your salary.
