We are recruiting an individual Giving Fundraiser to take a leading role in increasing income from legacy and in-memory donations year on year by being proactive and providing excellent donor care for an amazing hospice based in Essex. This position is available either full time (35 hours per week) at 20,000 - 25,000 or part time (22 hours per week) at 12,000 - 15,000.
This amazing charity is adored by the local community. They exist to provide care and support for patients with palliative and end of life care needs and their families in the Essex area.
We are looking for someone to meet or exceed targets through legacy and in-memory fundraising, increasing income year on year and regularly analysing and reporting back to the Individual Giving Manager and Head of Fundraising on the results being achieved.
In liaison with the Individual Giving Manager prepare and manage a legacy and in-memory marketing plan which clearly shows activity and results in order to achieve the required income targets.
Proactively build relationships with clinical staff and with patients and families to demonstrate the difference their support will make.
Develop relationships with key supporters and donors to recruit new pledgers and nurture any known existing pledgers.
Work with the Individual Giving Manager to ensure they follow a bespoke donor journey respecting their commitment to leave a legacy or to fundraise in-memory of someone and that is always considered in communication.
Ensure that the in-memory and legacy plans have internal support by networking with colleagues from across St Helena so that in-memory and legacy fundraising are an accepted part of the hospice culture.
Will have experience of Legacy and In Memoriam fundraising Customer Care or Relationship Management Role.
Good knowledge of financial reports & figures and analysing data.
Strong organisational, planning, writing, interpersonal and social skills.
Positive problem solver, self-motivated and committed to achieving results
Working with Raisers Edge Database preferable.
