The purpose of the role is to secure five and six figure grants from Statutory donors and UK, European and US Foundations and Trusts, researching new funding opportunities for the charitys clinical services and policy related activities and leading on relationship management with donors and reporting.
To develop, implement and deliver a Prospect Research strategy focused on statutory funding, large Foundations and Trusts.
To work with staff in the Trusts and Grants Team, the Clinical Department, Regional Centres and the Policy Team to identify new opportunities for funding that supports the strategic plan in order to build up a new portfolio of grant income.
To develop relationships with new donors to explore funding opportunities.
To lead on the scheduling, preparation and submission of funding applications to UK and international and grant makers and Foundations.
Manage existing relationships with donors to ensure high quality stewardship and compliance with donor requirements.
Develop project monitoring plans and logical frameworks.
To prepare an annual grants budget and prepare variance reports on budgeted income and KPIs.
To support the Head of Trusts and Grants in strategy and planning initiatives.
To support projects implemented across the Fundraising Department and work closely with other teams in sharing information on restricted funding.
Educated to degree level /and or equivalent years of experience
Sound knowledge of fundraising and grant management from UK Government, European, US and or other international funders
Strong skills in proactive Prospect research from Statutory Donors, Foundations and Trusts
Significant direct experience of securing five and six figure grants from sources such as the UK Government, Big Lottery and major international funders and of achieving annual income targets
Experience of leading on complex funding applications including joint applications with other partners
Experience of grant management and donor compliance
Exceptional writing skills with ability to compile compelling proposals.
Experience in compiling and managing a pipeline and budget for Statutory donors, Trusts and Foundations
Knowledge of or strong desire to learn about UK policy matters relating to refugees and human rights
