In this exciting new position within an ambitious and growing team, you will play a leading role in stewarding, inspiring and engaging team of committed and dedicated volunteers, establishing stronger and more effective relations and maintaining and increasing their level of engagement for this leading childrens charity.

The Charity
Have been helping children and young people in this country for over 130 years. They run local services that support children when they are at their most vulnerable and in desperate need of help, and are there for them every step of the way. They run over 100 local services that help thousands of young people who desperately need support, and campaign to get laws and policies changed to make childrens lives happier and safer.

The Role

You will support Relationship Managers through centralised stewardship of key supporters, enabling them to grow community income and increase the charitys geographic profile. You will work with the Supporter Engagement Manager to develop relationships with new and existing supporters in order to generate engagement and impact. This includes fundraising committees and support Groups, key church and community supporters and key volunteers.

Also you will

Account manage key supporters and maintain accurate records on Raisers Edge.
Analyse data from Raisers Edge and financial reports to enable effective key supporter caseload management.
Attend, co-ordinate and support stewardship and recruitment events for supporters.
Work managing own time and resources effectively through planning, prioritisation and time management, achieving tasks within agreed timescales.
Maintain effective systems for the management of data ensuring that supporter engagement is maximised and the data base is up to date and accurate.


The Candidate

Will have

A track record of achieving and growing fundraising income or sales targets.
Demonstrable experience in recruiting and supporting volunteers, community fundraising, account management, or a similar environment.
Experience of fundraising with two or more of the following schools, churches, students, corporates, groups and associations.
Experience of communicating directly with customers, supporters or volunteers.
The ability to influence verbally, inspiring and encouraging support.
Excellent time management, planning and project management skills and the ability to organise and analyse data.
