A great opportunity to be responsible for the maintenance and development of the Raisers Edge database with a leading education institution. You will also be responsible for identifying Alumni and other individuals, foundations and corporations who may offer support to the College.

The Charity
The principal residential centre in London for international postgraduate students and serves every academic and professional institution in the capital Since active fundraising began in 2010, the College Development team has raised some 3.5million in gifts and pledges. The vast majority of the funds have come from alumni, with trusts and foundations providing the balance.

With strong support from the College Director and Governors, the Development Department is now fully integrated into the Colleges ethos and structure. Building on this successful platform the College seeks to grow philanthropic giving over the longer term, to increase the engagement of its alumni globally and to continue to improve quality of alumni data. The development database currently holds details of 16,500 alumni

The Role
The Development and Alumni External department runs the Raisers Edge database on which it holds records of over 16,000 Alumni, of whom more than 80% are overseas. The Data and Insight Managers primary tasks is to be responsible for the data on Alumni and others, and to provide research, analysis and insight. Specifically, you will be responsible for the maintenance and development of the database and for identifying Alumni and other individuals, foundations and corporations who may offer support to the College.

Responsible for implementing and maintaining all policies and procedures in relation to the use of Raisers Edge.
Ensure that all data is recorded and in compliance with GDPR and PECR and keep up to date with legislation.
Be responsible for the accurate and timely data capture of all donations and gift aid received by the College. Maintain gift management and reconciliation processes in collaboration with the College finance department and other colleagues.
Produce quarterly Gift Aid report and keep abreast with all legalities around Gift Aid claims.
Ensure data hygiene by preparing and running appropriate data checks on a regular basis. Implement Key Performance Indicators to monitor data quality.
Be responsible for data selections and segmentation for fundraising and marketing campaigns. Analyse the results of such campaigns and work with colleagues to improve performance of future campaigns.
To deliver accurate and timely data projects with internal departments or 3rd party agencies
Manage the relationship between the online Alumni portal (NetCommunity) and Raisers Edge.

The Candidate
Operational experience of using Raisers Edge or a similar fundraising, marketing or CRM database. Previous experience of back-end systems management of a complex relational database and/or an expert user, ideally gained in a fundraising, sales, or marketing environment.
Knowledge of prospect research on individuals, institutions, companies, and sector trends.
Experience of using a database, data entry and report generation.
Ability to work with high levels of accuracy with numbers and data, and to interpret information.
A good understanding of GDPR and PECR.
