The Role
The Supporter Relations Manager plays an important role in expanding and deepening the charitys supporter base in catholic and other faith communities and further developing other community fundraising and individual giving income streams.

This post is part of a small friendly team, reporting to the Head of Supporter Relations, with access to the CEO and Trustees. The role is to motivate people to support the charitys vital work through the churches, and to further develop other community fundraising and individual giving income streams. The charity has a strong influential network within faith-based communities, schools and organisations, providing incredible opportunities to develop this role.

Main Duties
To manage the production of the charitys donor marketing tools including their newsletter, e-news & appeals.
To promote and support community fundraising, individual giving, and fundraising events
To lead on the planning and staging of fundraising & cultivation events including (initially) a small number of fundraising challenge events e.g. London Marathon, or major donor events and community initiatives.
Engage with the Catholic Church through meetings with bishops and priests, giving talks at Mass and other catholic gatherings, and will produce materials that speak to this audience.
To seek support for charity through prayer and volunteering, as well as financial donations, working closely with the Volunteering Manager and services teams to build relationships with churches located near services.
To develop charity supporters in churches and parishes who will continue to promote the charitys work, give talks and lead local fundraising initiatives, and develop materials (with support from Marketing).

The Candidate
The charity is seeking someone who shares the charitys mission, vision & values, and is committed to expanding and deepening their networks of support. You will have the ability to work sensitively & with integrity to grow the supporter base particularly amongst people motivated by their faith.

Experience of working in a fundraising team, leading on income generation streams.
Experience of providing excellent stewardship and donor care.
Knowledge of production processes for publications and literature and dealing with printing and mailing houses.
Effective face-to-face interaction and relationship-building with a wide range of people, and expert at navigating the Christian world with warmth and confidence.
