This an exciting opportunity for an experienced Philanthropy fundraiser to join the supportive, vibrant and dynamic team at this well loved Hospice. In this role you will work to retain the existing portfolio major donors as well as recruiting new ones, conducting prospect research, creating and implementing bespoke plans to engage donors and increase the value of donations.
An independent charity who provide specialised care to more than 4000 terminally ill patients and their families every year.
You will undertake research to identify and develop existing major donors and potential prospects.
Manage a portfolio and make asks where appropriate or necessary.
Support the development of high quality materials, appeal letters and reports, work with the Philanthropy Manager to secure income for special projects tailored to donor requirements.
To work closely with colleagues across the Hospice and wider fundraising team to develop excellent relationships with donors.
To support the development of relationships with new donors.
Work with the Philanthropy Manager and Director of Fundraising and Marketing to create special stewardship opportunities.
Supporting fundraising events and maintaining excellent records.
Experience in cultivating and securing gifts from high net worth individuals, either personally and through others.
Proven experience of identifying and responding to external opportunities and an ability to translate into practical plans of action, towards financial outcomes.
Experience in writing, preparing compelling proposals, demonstrating need, impact and social return.
Demonstrable experience of researching, developing, delivering and evaluating new opportunities.
Experience of working in a target-led environment with proven ability to deliver against targets.
