Has been helping to bring practical, emotional and spiritual (when asked) support to people and their families since the 1850s, providing friendship and support to those who find themselves lonely and isolated in a foreign part of the world. They are well established and well-known throughout the world and have a network in over 200 ports across the globe.
Work within the Development Strategy to deliver a portfolio of events such as Special Dinners, Joint Networking and Campaign Events with major partners and Drinks Receptions in prestigious locations to engage major donors and individual donors.
Plan and deliver all event logistics for all special events working within the events budget to achieve maximum value.
Develop a portfolio of corporate fundraising events; for example, office-based fundraising; dinners; receptions; and challenge events.
Provide input into marketing plans for each event to attract the maximum number of guests or participants.
Recruit and promote events through agreed channels working with the Communications Manager an, and through face to face meetings with prospective participants.
Build relationships with potential corporate supporters and encourage participants of challenge events to optimise their fundraising potential
Demonstrable experience of delivering successful fundraising events, on budget.
Experience of delivering several events simultaneously within an agreed timescale.
Knowledge of marketing events in a business context.
Relevant experience of using a database, preferably Raisers Edge.
Minimum two years experience in events fundraising or relevant sales/project or account management in a similar sector or role.
Experience of working on and delivering successful high-profile events.
