This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the development of a growing major donor programme for a leading charity.
Working closely with the Key Relationships Manager the you will play an active part in identifying, researching, engaging and soliciting new major donors, as well as having the opportunity to manage a portfolio of existing donors and ensuring that all supporters are stewarded to the highest standard.
This Charity is one of the leading organisations in the UK working with refugees and asylum seekers. They not only give help and support, but also work with asylum seekers and refugees to ensure their needs and concerns are addressed.
In this role you will maintain and develop positive and strategic relationships with a portfolio of existing and prospective donors through a combination of regular telephone contact, face-to-face meetings, motivational proposals and cultivation events. You will also produce a range of written reports, proposals, and updates for high net worth individuals and VIPs an identify major donor prospects from the existing donor base, stakeholder networks and other sources. Also you will carry out research and create donor profiles on existing and prospective major donors and high profile supporters and contribute to the planning and coordination of cultivation and engagement events
The successful candidate will have experience of working within major gifts fundraising, or in a client management role and have demonstrable experience of developing long-term/strategic relationships, writing compelling fundraising or marketing materials and writing detailed reports about charitable activities.
