In this exciting role you will deliver restricted income through grant applications and fundraising approaches primarily to trusts, foundations, liveries, institutional funders and statutory bodies. There is scope to develop major donor and corporate fundraising for this educational charity.
Fund the training and education of talented and aspiring craftspeople through traditional college courses, vocational training, apprenticeships or one on one training with a master craftsperson, helping to sustain vital skills in traditional and contemporary crafts.
Maximising income from trusts, foundations, liveries and institutional grant makers.
Develop and maintaina detailed knowledge of the organisations history and programmes.
Extensive prospect research; identifying and researching potential funders to produce a pipeline of prospective funders.
Increasing income, mainly from Trusts & Foundations, Liveries and institutional funders, via compelling, targeted bids.
Building productive relationships with new and existing funders, providing excellent Donor Stewardship - including appropriate donor matching, regular updates and reporting (including impact evaluation).
Proven experience (minimum 6 months) of fundraising from trusts and foundations, with the ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with key donors and other partners, as appropriate
Proven experience of developing compelling funding proposals and donor feedback reports
Great researcher, capable of creating a pipeline of grant funders
Excellent written and oral communication skills, with an inspiring communication style, and exceptional listening and influencing skills
Well-organised, able to multi-task, with good administration skills and experience in managing a database.
Highly self-motivated, a pro-active and flexible approach with the ability to work independently and on initiative where appropriate
