We are looking for a research manager to lead the research team and be responsible for producing insights to inform the charity's strategy, service delivery and policy influencing for an amazing health charity.
A well established health charity
Co-ordinate the planning and delivery of the portfolio of internal and external research projects which will inform the development of the charity's new strategic objectives
This will involve allocating responsibility for project delivery across the research team to manage the department's resourcing plan
Lead research to ensure that the organisation maintains its reputation as a learning organisation, committed to evidencing outcomes and learning from experience
Ensure that all research projects are compliant with the Research Quality Framework and therefore consistently high quality, value for money, and compliant with all statutory, regulatory and ethical responsibilities
Work with the Head of Strategy and the Strategy Project Manager to ensure that insights from the ambitious research agenda inform the development of the organisation's post-2021 strategy
Present insights from research projects in an accessible and engaging way to ensure that senior management, trustees, and other audiences have access to accurate and reliable information to inform strategic decision making
Develop and manage budgets for large and complex projects - working with finance, business development, fundraising, and project staff to ensure appropriate costings and application of consistent pricing
Significant experience of independently designing, conducting and commissioning high quality research projects which draw on both qualitative and quantitative research methods. This should include experience of leading and managing large scale, complex programmes of social research.
Experience of effectively communicating research findings to a range of different audiences
Experience of establishing maintaining relationships with partner organisations
Experience of co-ordinating project/matrix teams outside of traditional line management structures
Experience of project and budget management - including planning costing projects
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including experience of writing and presenting for academic, policy, and public audiences
