We are looking for a Senior Fundraising Officer to lead on generating income from trusts and fundraising from individuals and groups for a leading charity which supports children and young people.

To address external audiences and present the work of the organisation for the purpose of promoting their work and gaining support, including travelling and meeting with potential donors, supporters and funders.
To produce successful fundraising bids in line with key objectives and targets.
To have overall responsibility for exemplary stewardship of individual donors.
To lead and develop the production of supporter newsletters, Christmas appeals and donor care.
To ensure income generation in line with agreed target and timescales
Answer donor enquiries by phone, email or letter, including donation queries. Ensure all donors are thanked within 3 days and details are entered on the fundraising database.
To have overall responsibility for the management and reconciliation of donations, including on Raisers Edge, Streamline Services and on-line giving. Maintain and develop internal systems and processes to ensure all donor information is kept up to date and recorded appropriately.
At least two years fundraising experience
A record of successful fundraising bids and initiatives
Experience of building strong and effective relationships with donors, potential supporters and stakeholders
Experience of working with databases, preferably Raisers Edge
Professional skills and knowledge of the following area PR and publicity, media relations, marketing, internal communications, crisis communications, digital and social marketing, public affairs, branding, stakeholder engagement
