In this role you will support the retention of the existing portfolio of trusts & foundations, and where required, major donors, as well as developing new relationships for this beloved hospice. The post holder will support the growth of unrestricted and restricted income by researching opportunities, establishing relationships, as well as writing compelling and tailored applications and reports.
This amazing hospice is the only independent hospice in Central London and treats over 3,000 terminally ill patients and their families each year for free.
Support the Philanthropy & Partnership Manager in their duties.
Work alongside the Philanthropy & Partnerships Manager to surpass the target for trusts and foundations income.
Help implement successful fundraising strategies for trusts & foundations and, where required, major donors to increase funding received through successful applications, personal one-off donations, multi-year gifts and generating funds through relevant events.
Implement retention strategies to retain existing donors through effective account management and accurate and timely reporting.
Achieve agreed objectives through researching, identifying and approaching existing and new supporters.
Provide a high level of customer care when communicating with key stakeholders as necessary. This may be by telephone, in writing and in person e.g. at fundraising events.
Proven experience of developing successful relationships with trusts and foundations
Experience of winning significant funding from trusts and foundations
Experience of contributing to fundraising strategies in line with organisational plans
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong administrative and organisational skills and record keeping skills
Proven ability in building good working relationships with colleagues and confidence to build external relationship through networking
