As Senior Development and Retention Officer you will play a key role in the delivery of the supporter development and retention programme and help deliver fundraising targets to and achieve lasting impact for this leading animal charity. This is a seven month maternity cover.

The charity stops the exploitation of wild animals for entertainment and profit and protect pets and working animals in communities across the globe. The charity also campaigns for a better farm animal welfare and fight against factory farming. They also help animals when disaster strikes.
Develop and steward thousands of supporters from the point of acquisition or leads generated from campaigns, through to legacy giving.
Ensure a busy schedule of offline and online communications is delivered on time and within budget.
You will be involved in the planning and development of our programme to put the supporter experience at the heart of what we do as well as increase the depth and value of supporter relationships whilst encouraging repeat giving or multiple interactions. This will entail work on mailed and e-appeals to raffles and telemarketing.
Prepare creative briefs and oversee the relationship with external supplier partners such as mailing-houses printers, telemarketing businesses and creative agencies.
Experience of working in a target-driven and supporter or customer focused environment.
Experience managing large scale direct marketing projects across a range of channels including direct mail, online, social and telemarketing.
Experience co-ordinating the creative processes of a direct marketing project.
An understanding of what motivates people to engage, audience insight and the ability to reflect that in marketing communications and campaign design.
Experience of gaming channels and related products.
