An exciting opportunity for an experinced and enthusiastic Community and Challenge Events Manager to join an amazing childrens charity.

The Role

Lead a team to of two to maximise income and engagement with community supporters, including challenge event participants.

Support the Head of Public Fundraising in developing a new ambassador volunteer programme and launch a brand new bespoke event.

Develop and sustain warm effective relationships with a wide range of supporters.

Proactively seek new business opportunities, researching strong alignment opportunities and creating compelling communications and pitches.

Co-ordinate day-to-day fundraising operations, ensuring that the team deal with all written and phone enquiries promptly and politely.

Develop an effective working relationship with the Services team, building mutual trust and respect that enables the appropriate and timely use of case studies and stories in fundraising activity.


The Candidate
A successful track record in community fundraising and challenge events and a real fascination and enjoyment for meeting people and building relationships.

Previous line management experience is essential.

Experience of planning, implementing, delivering, monitoring, evaluating and reviewing strategic and operational activities.

Experience of using audience data insight to develop new programmes and products.

Excellent communication skills written and oral with the proven ability to communicate with persuasion and credibility.
