A fantastic opportunity to join an inspiring international development charity who are looking for a can-do, positive person to manage and develop relationships with High Value Supporters, managing their own portfolio and supporting wider team initiatives such as special events.
A leading UK based international development charity delivering health and medical care to those worst affected by conflict, occupation and displacement, in occupied areas and refugee camps. The charity provides immediate aid to those in need at times of crisis.
Research and build relationships with newly identified major donors and major prospects, as part of the organisations new strategy to significantly expand their portfolios and programme response.
Move prospects through the solicitation stages building to an ask, made directly or by facilitating peer-to-peer asks.
Proactively identify, research and develop major givers, including non-UK, including through mining of existing databases.
Ensure that all major givers in your portfolio are provided with the highest level of customer care and take overall responsibility for your own portfolio and annual workplan
Develop relationships with Trustees, Patrons and other ambassadors
Ensure the upkeep of a database and filing system on all existing and prospective donors
Experience of pitching projects and securing high level gifts from UK-based and overseas major donors
Experience / good understanding of major donor fundraising
Driven, proactive and externally focussed, able to spot and create opportunities
Experience of stewardship and cultivation events
Experience of investigating, collating, summarising and disseminating research
Experience of writing & presenting cases for support, letters and reports
Experience of using a database to support prospect targeting and research
