An exciting role for an experienced Major Donor Manager to secure significant gifts of 50k and higher from major donors, to fund vital service growth and build a sustainable revenue pipeline for a much loved national charity.
Cultivate and secure lead gifts for the charity (10k+), increasing to 50k over time.
Responsible for driving forward peer-to-peer fundraising, building a network of internal and external stakeholders to support high-value fundraising.
Work with other teams in P&P (National Corporate Partnerships, Trusts) to identify opportunities for cross-working and sharing of leads.
Ensure that we maximise all opportunities to generate income and collaborate in order to manage these joint relationships appropriately.
Recruit, develop and motivate a high performing Major Donor Fundraising Team.
Develop and manage a portfolio of new and prospective donors, securing major gifts (50k+), repeat gifts and increased value gifts.
Track all income and activity using available tools (including the CARE database).
Prepare monthly income reports for the Head of Philanthropy & Partnerships, setting out appropriate activities to ensure targets are met.
Substantial proven ability in major gift fundraising - including soliciting five and six figure gifts.
Proven experience of building a prospect pool from scratch.
Proven experience of identifying, cultivating and recruiting new donors.
Proven experience of donor management, demonstrating the maximisation of relationships.
Proven success of establishing a network of volunteer leaders who can influence major gifts from their networks.
