We are delighted to be working exclusively with an international development charity working in Africa who train paralegals and lawyers within defenceless communities to provide legal services for themselves and others. They are looking for a highly driven Director of Fundraising and Communications to support and drive their income further through their 3 priority audiences , high-net-worth individuals, institutions and trusts, and individual donors.
Direct and develop the charitys Individual Giving programmeworking with the Relational Manager to recruit and retain supporters through a range of methods including the set-up of a fundraising club, the development of the legacy programme, the cultivation of corporate relationships and the exploration of new areas of individual giving, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation including GDPR.
Direct and develop the Ultra High Net Worth programmeworking with the Founder and Philanthropy Manager to help prospect and cultivate high net worth individual relationships.
Direct and plan and support new funding approaches.
Develop the USA fundraising strategy working with the USA Funding Manager. This is a new development for the organisation with more information being prepared at this time.
Oversee the design and implementation of fundraising communications working with the Communications Officer- spearheading the brand, managing the website, creating digital fundraising concepts, writing content for income-generating appeals, working with external suppliers, delivering fundraising campaigns and overseeing social media management.
Create and maintain a new fundraising databaseand CRM system.
Support, coach and manage all posts within the Fundraising and Comms Team to manage budgets, provide financial reports and targets and monitor their annual objectives.
Solid experience of working in charity fundraising and communication roles
A strong background in Individual Giving (donor management must include experience of major donor stewardship).
You should also have a solid understanding of institutional fundraising. Experience of corporate relationships and legacy programmes would also be advantageous.
The ideal candidate will have line management experience and be used to working in a responsive, collaborative organisation.
