Are you passionate on Womens Rights ? We are recruiting for a maternity cover Major Grants Manager for a highly inspirational womens charity , you will be working to secure large grants from statutory and institutional sources and large international foundations

The Role
To lead the development and delivery of an effective statutory and institutional strategy for major grants, aligned with organisational strategy, which will deliver a demonstrable impact on the scale of the charitys programming on the ground.
To produce, maintain, manage and communicate the business development pipeline for large grants and contracts, secure up-to-the minute intelligence on what is coming down the pipeline, and ensure that the charity is prepared in a timely fashion to respond effectively to all suitable opportunities.
To support the charity to assess whether to apply for certain grants and to maintain its win rate on bids.
To contribute to the management of the charitys strategic positioning and communications.
To contribute to the development of the charitys as a learning organisation.
To lead, coordinate and participate in a cross-organisational proposal development process which adheres to standards of good practice and produces proposals of high technical quality.
To plan for proposal development making sure it is properly resourced including recruiting and managing consultants if needed
To work with the teams to ensure that business development plans and activities reflect the agreed direction, identity, and focus of the charitys strategy and

The Candidate
Securing statutory and institutional and large foundations funding from a wide range of donors internationally and in the UK.
Designing and writing proposals for large scale, complex, multi-project programmes that focus on both programmatic and policy work.
Experience of leading and coordinating cross-organisational processes and projects including working with in-country partner organisations and consultants
Experience of building relationships with prospective donors which result in funding partnerships
Ability to identify, analyse, problem-solve and respond to external opportunities and challenges, and the ability to translate opportunities into practical plans of action
Ability to deal effectively with complex issues requiring analysis, synthesis and assessment of financial and technical data and other forms of strategic information
