There is currently a huge hunger crisis in the UK, as many as 1.8 million school age children at risk of hunger in the UK. This charity works to ensure that children are not prevented from accessing their education simply because they are too hungry to learn
In this new role Digital Content Producer you will support the charity to produce attractive and engaging digital content for social media posts and other channels, including publicising the charitys food and funding partnerships.
The Role
Ensure all social media activity has high impact by creating exciting, eyecatching and shareable digital content and posts
Work with Communications Manager to produce and follow a social media calendar
Grow the reach and engagement of the main social media channels twitter, facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube.
Work with the Community Fundraising team to target and engage existing and untapped audiences
Create digital content for publicity and fundraising campaigns involving corporate partners
Work with the Policy & Campaigns team to create digital content for political campaigns
Be engaged with the activities of the charity, seeking out new stories and translating them into social media coverage
Devise and produce proactive media campaigns in collaboration with the
Comms, Policy and Fundraising teams to support the charitys objectives
The Candidate
Excellent written communication skills with the ability to communicate messages confidently, engagingly and with impact
Passion and commitment to alleviate child hunger as a barrier to learning in the UK
Excellent video filming, photography and editing skills
Excellent digital creative content skills
Experience of working as a Digital Media professional or a journalist
Excellent knowledge of digital analytics
Strong interpersonal skills to build effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders
A collaborative team player
