We are looking for a Senior Philanthropy Specialist to develop and deliver a Major Donor strategy for a wonderful health charity.
An incredible health charity based in Bath offering very flexible/remote working.
Develop trusted relationships with a portfolio of new and existing supporters, asking them at the right time for multi-year financial support and providing them with the highest level of supporter care.
Deliver an agreed annual income target and manage the expenditure budget.
Offer personalised communication and present work to key donors, ranging from short, concise descriptions to in-depth proposals that articulate specific programmes
Take ownership of the plan to grow and manage of the major donor portfolio
Build inter-department relationships that enable the team to secure appropriate project information, and create offers, proposals and solicitations that will inspire and motivate people to support.
Work alongside the Events Manager to support a series of engagement opportunities for major donors, ranging from receptions and lab visits to intimate dinners and auctions.
Support the development of a rolling three-year income pipeline alongside personal and team targets, as well as monitoring and inputting into monthly, quarterly and annual forecasts.
Help shape programme plans, budgets and compelling case for support materials so that we best match supporter interests to our funding propositions.
1. Have an in-depth knowledge of major gift fundraising principles and the solicitation process, with a demonstrable experience to engage with Major Donors and solicit high value personal donations through face-to-face meetings and the ability to present a compelling case for support using excellent written and verbal communication skills.
2. Proven experience in securing 20k+ gifts and of personally making the ask at this level and/or in conjunction with a senior volunteer.
3. Ability to prioritise, both strategically and operationally with the ability to influence at senior stakeholder level.
4. Experience of developing and managing high quality relationships with high net-worth Individuals. Knowledge of the current philanthropy and HNW landscape.
