One of the UK's leading health charity have created a new Senior Major Donor Manager position to sustain and grow the organisations reach with high-net worth individuals.

You will be working alongside the Head of Philanthropy and senior stake holders to lead and develop an ambitious new programme for increasing sustainable financial and gift-in-kind support from high net worth individuals. The post holder will also contribute 10% of their time to working with Trust professionals in the team.

To develop cultivation strategies for prospective high net worth supporters in an agreed portfolio to ensure a steady, and growing stream of financial and advisory commitment for the organisation
Responsible/accountable for a pool of major supporters, personally raising funds in line with agreed budgets
To cultivate relationships with volunteer leaders and ensure effective access to new networks and contacts
Play an active role in development of both Philanthropy related strategies as well as working on projects and strategies across the Fundraising Department as a senior member of the team.
To build strong relationships with cross directorate colleagues to maximise on supporter-led opportunities to deliver strategic service delivery and organisational goals

The Candidate

Significant professional work experience including demonstrable major supporter fundraising or commercial high net worth account management experience
A proven track record of building high value relationships with supporters
A proven track record in making 'the ask' and meeting fundraising targets
Knowledge of trends, techniques, and best practice in major gifts fundraising
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling case for support and to communicate this effectively through face-to-face presentations
Potential to develop an excellent personal network of funders and prospective supporters for The
Stroke Association
