In this role you will be with responsible for developing and managing your own portfolio of special events and play a key part in the development and implementation of events to generate income and raise awareness for this leading UK heath charity

This is a maternity cover post with responsibility for developing and managing your own portfolio of events and manage a programme of marketing communications, write exciting copy and produce imaginative promotional materials to attract and recruit event participants. You will also manage the work of volunteers and work experience placements.
To develop and manage your events to achieve agreed financial targets
To manage a program of marketing communications, writing exciting copy and producing imaginative promotional materials to attract and recruit event participants.
To contribute to the development marketing strategy and implement plans for specific events. This will involve being the lead and main point of contact on specifically assigned organisational projects.
To manage the work of volunteers and work experience placements, writing procedure notes and briefs and supervising work.
This is an excellent opportunity if you bring several years events experience in a charity setting, along with a thorough understanding of marketing and customer care.
You will bring strong project and time management skills including planning, delivery and evaluation and have experience of using a database to manage participant data.
You will be passionate and focussed with the ability to work proactively and on your own initiative.
Joining a fast-paced team, you will be an excellent team worker, have strong communication and sales skills, along with the interpersonal skills that build relationships, influence, inspire and motivate a wide range of people.
You will have experience and demonstrate a thorough understanding of marketing and customer care.
To be willing to travel and stay away overnight.
