To manage, maintain and develop the Event remit within the Corporate Partnership team and wider Fundraising function. Events are crucial to the retention of the charitys partners and major donors, so this role works across the whole Fundraising Team. The person in this post will contribute to the strategy and would work on a varied array of events both directly and indirectly fundraising.
To lead on the development and implementation of a national fundraising events strategy that maximises the opportunity for sponsorship and income generation across both the partnership and the individual giving fundraising teams.
To lead on the implementation of large scale national and regional events, including their planning, budgeting, marketing and delivery.
Lead on the development of new event and partnership opportunities and products to maximise both income and reach.
Drive a culture of innovation across our fundraising events portfolio, with the goal of positioning the charity as a leader in the sector for innovative event delivery.
Identify streams of events activity and bring together key stakeholders to devise and implement long-term plans for development in order to ensure a sustainable source of income.
Work with team members to ensure effective volunteer support is in place for events and account management activities.
Establish ambitious but realistic targets for events activity, in line with wider strategic priorities of the Fundraising directorate and the charity.
Secure sponsorship to supplement income and reduce expenditure where possible within the event portfolio
A motivated, enthusiastic person to join a slightly noisy fundraising team. They are a focused team dedicated to the cause but are able to remain light hearted and resilient in a tough sector and would like a like-minded colleague to join them.
Experience of managing events from concept to delivery including oversight of the project budget and expenditure
Experience of working with a range of partners across the charitable, private or public sector, with experience of contract/sales negotiation.
Experience in sales, new business development or sponsorship with proven examples of successfully generating significant income, ideally over 100,000
Experience in developing communication and marketing plans for clients
Experience of building successful relationships with senior staff in business
Highly organized, self-motivated and able to work on own initiative, with a confident presentation style.
