We are recruiting for a temporary part time 3 days a week Finance Manager ,working for a small advice giving charity , immediate start !
Supporting the Director of Finance and Operations in ensuring the effective running of the charitys finance function
Advising and supporting departmental managers in delivery of their financial targets and new business developments
Assisting the Director of Finance and Operations with the annual financial planning and budgeting
Assisting the Director of Finance and Operations in preparation of the annual report and accounts in accordance with the SORP and FRS 102
Ensuring all mandatory returns and reports are submitted to HMRC in relation to payroll, VAT and gift aid
Ensuring adequate financial records are kept and are meeting the auditors and other statutory requirements.
Fully or part-qualified member of one of the major accountancy bodies
Experience of running the finance operations in a small to medium sized charity
In depth understanding of charity finance, its regulatory environment and governance
Detailed knowledge of the Charity SORP (Statement of Recommended Practice)
Experience in using Sage 50
Experience of the VAT regulations including partial VAT recovery and Capital Goods Scheme
