We are seeking an experienced corporate and community fundraiser to implement plans; identify, recruit and manage new relationships within The Surrey region for this well respected social welfare charity. Corporate partnerships, events and sponsorships, Charity of the Year relationships, employee fundraising, grants and donations are all part of the mix which this ambitious charity wishes to generate and grow over the next five years and beyond.

The Charity
This well-loved charity provides housing, support and care for homeless, vulnerable and excluded people, empowering them to reach their goals and live independent and fulfilling lives. They help more than 2,000 people each year in Surrey and Crawley, the London Boroughs of Sutton and Richmond, and Wokingham in Berkshire.

The Role
Deliver an ongoing programme of corporate and community fundraising activity, to generate income to agreed targets.
Carry out research into potential donors and develop fundraising applications.
Develop and grow the organisations database of corporate supporters whilst keeping abreast of legal requirements and best practise (e.g. GDPR and DPA, Fundraising Regulator, Gift Aid).
Relevant donor stewardship, acknowledging donations and ensuring donors receive appropriate recognition; close liaison with the Trusts & Major Donor Manager.
Responsible for updating relevant corporate donor and stakeholder records, including relevant expenditure, maintaining accurate records for donors and donations, including consent where required; reporting data as required.


The Candidate
Experience of working in a corporate or community fundraising role, including as a volunteer / intern; or experience within a sales environment.
Experience of at least one of the following prospect research; database management; events management.
Experience of using and / or maintaining a relationship database as well as a good working knowledge of associated data protection and GDPR requirements.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Good interpersonal and networking skills and the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
A desire to help people to live independent and fulfilling lives.
Full, valid driving licence and use of own car.
