We are recruiting an IT Applications Support Analyst to join a national charity where you will provide application support to the user community, supporting third party supplied business applications, all technical aspects of applications, understanding the underlying system architecture and advising users on the best use and deployment of applications.

To interact with the internal IT team, business applications team and external suppliers or service providers to ensure that support issues are resolved in a timely fashion. To be responsible for the performance and stability of all business applications.
To be the primary point of contact for all application support queries.
To work within a set of standards for application support, including customer service guidelines aimed at providing the highest possible quality of support and user experience.
To resolve application-related incidents, service requests and problems in a timely and efficient manner.
To undertake appropriate application maintenance, support and incident management processes and procedures to support and maintain applications, and to investigate and resolve application-related incidents.
To exercise judgement in prioritising problems and escalating calls to the relevant internal or external support wherever necessary.
To work closely and support other systems administrators and colleagues in the provision of end-user support.
To proactively monitor business applications to ensure the application and underlying database availability is maximised and performance optimised.
To liaise with internal or external technical support staff to ensure that the technical infrastructure is appropriate to the application needs.
To have experience of working in an IT environment and skilled in IT problem diagnosis and resolution
To have detailed knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server
To have experience of Microsoft Dynamics and Office 365
To have an in-depth understanding of Dynamics 365 and knowledge of Office 65 administration
To have a good understanding of systems including Windows operating systems and Microsoft productivity tools
To have ability to support business applications, both in-house bespoke solutions and commercially of the shelf packages
To be able to prioritise work across several projects and deliver to deadlines
To have a systematic, disciplined and analytical approach to problem solving
ITIL v3 foundation qualifications is desirable not essential
