Help Musicians UK is Britains leading independent music charity and has provided help, support and opportunities to empower musicians at all stages of their lives for 97 years.HMUKs mission is to create a sustainable future for all musicians and the industry by supporting those who work in the music industry through grants, health and welfare services, campaigning, creative programmes and targeted investment initiatives. It exists to advocate, educate and provide information around issues which affect musicians and the industry that surrounds them.
Working with the Philanthropy Manager and the Fundraising Director, you will work on an existing pipeline of donors whilst working with key internal contacts to expand the number of prospects you are working on. You will work on their calendar of exclusive stewardship events including their flagship event, the Festival of St Cecilia which celebrates its 73rd year in 2019. Additionally, you will be an integral part of the relaunch of the charitys high net worth giving club, and lead on its stewardship programme.
Legacy fundraising is the backbone of the organisation and as such, a new strategy is being developed to recruit new legacy pledgers. Alongside the Philanthropy Manager, you will help to launch the new campaign in Summer/Autumn 2019 to steward existing legators and ensure their continued support and establish a pipeline of prospective legacy pledgers.
To be successful in this role you will need specialist knowledge of major donor fundraising, best practice donor stewardship, making the ask and ideally a good knowledge of Legacy fundraising.
The successful candidate will have experience working within a major donor fundraising role, working with high profile individuals from a range of different backgrounds as well as experience of working on a pipeline of major donor prospects across all stages of solicitation, from cold through to conversion including making the ask. Flexible working is an option.
