We are looking for a Special Events Team Manager for a maternity cover contract for a large well loved animal charity.
One of the largest animal welfare organisations in the UK. With wonderful animal friendly open plan office space in London.
You will have budget responsibility for all events delivered by the Philanthropy & Corporate Partnerships Team and will line manage two Special Events Officers and a Special Events Assistant. Ideally the post will begin in May 2019.
To develop, implement and evaluate the events strategy targeted specifically at major donor, corporate partner and VIP/influencer audiences to support the wider Philanthropy team.
Reporting to the Head of Philanthropy and Corporate Partnerships, the successful candidate will work alongside the Corporate Partnerships Manager and Philanthropy Manager supporting both of these growing teams with their identification, cultivation and stewardship of prospects through delivery of an annual events programme ranging from intimate dinners, through to larger garden parties and gala/ball events.
You will also evaluate and report on the effectiveness of special events, implementing any necessary changes to develop our events programme further in the future.
To be successful in this role you will have a proven track record of developing and managing a diverse range of high-calibre events on time and within budget to meet agreed objectives, including responsibility for all logistics and on-site management of events.
You will have previous line management experience, as well as experience of working one to one with senior volunteers/ influencers and VIPs and their teams/ private offices.
You will need to be an excellent communicator who is able to effectively manage conflicting priorities, as well as being highly numerate and able to manage the teams budget.
